PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAMS (PNPs)
Each province and territory have its own immigration service, whose goal is to attract immigrants who can meet their special demands.
This information is for Provincial Nominee Program applicants (PNP). In addition to the immigration categories covered by the federal and Quebec programmes, Canada has signed bilateral agreements with all of its provinces and territories, allowing them to choose immigrants based on their individual requirements. Each province and territory have its own immigration service, whose goal is to attract immigrants who can meet their special demands. The programmes differ from one province to the next. The majority of provinces offer highly desirable skilled workers and business programmes.
This program is for workers who:
- have the skills, education and work experience to contribute to the economy of a specific province or territory
- want to live in that province, and
- want to become permanent residents of Canada
